When the rear door or tailgate is opened, the driver is alerted with a warning sound and a cluster pop-up when the driver disembarks. If the driver fails to notice the alarm and locks the car door, the radar sensor mounted on the rear detects movement and provides a second notification via horn, emergency lights, and SMS.

It assists the driver’s steering in the event of a potential collision by detecting obstacles such as pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles, even controlling the vehicle’s brake to avoid a collision when necessary. The GV70 automatically applies braking when a collision is imminent from the left side at an intersection, or adjusts the steering wheel to avoid a collision while making a lane change.*

When the system detects an imminent collision from the rear while changing lanes, it either alerts or assists in avoiding the collision through automatic brake activation. If a possible collision is detected while the vehicle is leaving a parking space from a parallel-parked position, the system assists the driver via automatic braking activation.

The BVM displays views of blind spots in the cluster when changing lanes or using the turn signal to avoid any possible accidents.*

Lane following assist warns the driver when the vehicle deviates from the current lane in the absence of a turn signal. When an unintended lane change is detected, the system keeps the vehicle in the lane with the help of automatic steering assist.

If the system recognizes that the driver is not looking ahead, it sends out an alerts as a warning.*

The system allows the driver to use high beams without the risk of blinding oncoming traffic or any preceding vehicle. This function is achieved using LEDs with individual electronic controls that can be brightened or dimmed as required.*

The GV70 maintains its distance from the forward vehicle while moving at the speed set by the driver, braking automatically when the forward vehicle stops and starting again automatically within three seconds of detected movement. The Driving Behavior-Based Smart Cruise Control analyzes the driver's driving behavior to mimic the driver's tendencies.*

The PCA prevents the vehicle from colliding with pedestrians or nearby obstacles at the rear while the driver parks the vehicle or exits a parking spot, as well as when the vehicle is traveling at low speed by warning the driver and controlling the vehicle’s braking function.*

During reversing maneuvers, this system warns the driver of approaching traffic from the left and right sides of the vehicle and applies the brakes if a collision is likely to occur.

This feature sounds an alert when vehicles approaching from behind is detected when a passenger opens a door to exit the vehicle. It also keeps the Electronic Child Safety Lock activated to prevent the doors from opening. In addition, if the risk of rear side collision is determined, the door is prevented from opening even if the door open button is pressed.

When the vehicle is backing up, this safety feature projects lights from rear LED guide lamps project onto the road, alerting other vehicles and pedestrians to optimize accident prevention.
